Biography

Amir Soghrati Painter, Curator, Researcher and Art critic. Born in 1979. Rasht (IRAN). Graduated in Press graphics, from the studies and research center of Media, Tehran, 2002. • Publishing of first art work in 1994, Abrar newspaper. • Publishing of art work and collaboration with more than 60 different publications as a critic, writer, caricaturist and illustrator since 1994. • 23 solo exhibitions and 199 group exhibitions since 1995. • Member of Iranian Journalists Association (AOIJ) since 2004. • Member of International Federation of Journalists (IFJ) since 2005. • Associate of Iranian Painters Association since 2013. • Honorary membership of Iranian Painters Association since 2018. • Member of the Board of Directors of Iraian Painters Association from 2015 to 2018. • Implementation of 7 mural painting projects in Tehran, Shahre Rey and Kish Island since 2016. • Curation of 8 exhibitions of Iranian contemporary arts in Tehran and Prais since 2012. • Secretory of research conference of the 7th Tehran International Sculpture Symposium, 2015. • A member of art group "Encyclopedia of Contemporary Iranian Culture" of the National Library and Documentation Center of Iran and the author of the "Caricature of Iran" entry, 2016. • Member of visual council of Iranian Artists House, from 2016 to 2018. • Deputy Editor and Editor- in- chief of biweekly visual arts magazine "Tandis", 2014 and 2016. • Member of jury of the first derawing festival, Alborz, 2016. • Member of the jury for Tehran mural painting call for students of Art Universities in Iran (Rouyesh), 2016. • The secretory of visual arts department of the fourth and fifth term of Mohtasham award, 2016 and 2017. • Secretory of the Council for Policymaking and Selection of art works of the second Period of "A city- wide Library", 2016. • Member of the Council for Policymaking and Planning to introduce Iranian pavilion artists to the 2019 Venice Biennale. • Member of the mural painting Art Council of Tehran Beautification Organization, 2020. • Author and director of 16 episodes of the series "Imagination of a century; One hundred years of visual arts of Iran", 2020. • Authoring 25 volume books about Art in IRAN since 2008. • Writing introductions and articles in more than 20 books in Iran since the 2000s. • Writing statements for more than 60 visual arts exhibitions in Iran since the 2000s. • Publication of an article in the special issue of the French Le Monde newspaper called "2017 Iran a New Face" about the new Iran after the elections of 2012 and after the JJAP, 2017. • Publishing a work in the book "Creative Dialogue; An Art Map of the Middle East", Selection Arts Publishing, Kuwait, 2018. • The introduction of the book "Iran's modern and contemporary art exhibition called Ehsasat"; (Opening of Kama Gallery in London), April 2018.
