"Reverse mirage” refers to a phenomenon in the sea in which objects on the horizon appear out of proportion and simplified. In this body of works, Rasoulzadeh occupies himself with how the region's architecture has made great use of mirage. In this dry soil, mirage can bring vitality to those living off of it. This series combines Iranian architecture, real mirage, and its reconstruction with simpler and more ordered forms in smaller dimensions. By choosing papier-mâché as the main material, which according to the artist is reminiscent of 'cob' (mud and straw bricks), and with the natural color of copper and bronze, the artist has made minarets and architectural structures in different sizes.
