Flower as still life has always been of special significance in the art history. Aside from aesthetics, due to their vulnerability and transient beauty, flowers bear symbolic meanings as well.

Repetition and multiplication of a certain motif that could be spread and continued from sides was the initial idea for this series of works. The patterns leave little space blank in the compositions.

The canvas size and format of the main piece is similar to banners or flags. In this work I chose gladiolus (a type of flower); a closed up view of a bunch of red gladioli being repeated several times
