Meat hanging from the ceiling is one of the images which had always occupied my mind.
In search for a relationship that is based on the body and the surrounding world will always lead to the same meat hanging in a butcher’s shop. The meat that ends up on the board will be hit by the butcher's cleaver without any hesitation, the same board that unites my body and the butcher.
In this collection, I have tried to focus attention from the sense of sight to the sense of touch. Drawing my hand on the butcher's board is the only way that I can understand what kind of body-based relationship I have with the world around me. Images tending to abstraction, flat screens on which meats are sliced, chopped and prepared, showing the impermanence of the body in the world.
A body that gets external shocks loses its previous nature and takes on another identity.
Flesh has retained all the sufferings and fears, they have all the colors of living flesh. All the imposed pain and vulnerability can be seen in them. They are the border between me and the world.
