Juxtaposition
In the composition of an artwork the technique of Juxtaposition refers to the placement of elements of the work side by side, which allows the viewer to establish connections and discover or impose a meaning. This technique can add layers of meaning, express irony and/or display a scene with a lot of detail and depth.
My current exhibition showcases the concept of Juxtaposition through the medium of collage, which I have used in various ways to create impact and provoke a thoughtful response.
