Statement

Today, with the digitalization of the contemporary world, modern image systems have been established. Our world is full of images, the number of which is increasing every moment. Computer processors and AI have caused the boundaries between the virtual and the real to blur. Is the position of photography changing? How much does the boundary between the virtual and the real associate the essence of photography?

Carrying out the project, I examined the images created through artificial intelligence__it should be noted that the images were created at the command of the photographer and close to the photographer’s desire in terms of aesthetics. Moreover, it was intended to make the images from a digital (parallel) world into a tangible object.

In this regard, I put a fully mechanical analog camera in front of the monitor and took photographs of the images as if they are now converted into an object, from pixels to a light-sensitive material with physicality, and these photos are pieces from both worlds. According to Sontag, “In teaching us a new visual code, photographs
alter and enlarge our notions of what is worth looking at and what we have a right to observe.
