;
Days pass, and "suffering" reveals itself before my eyes, each time inhabiting a different body. Once, it sits at a table, blowing out the candles of its lived-out melancholy; another time, it lies down, dissolving silently into its bed. It mourns and writhes so intensely that it is stripped of flesh, reduced to raw nerves and sinew. I, too, have meticulously captured each of its days in an attempt to lessen the weight of this boundless affliction, rendering it into a singular form (figure) tethered to sensation. "Erased Body" is a collection that transcends figuration in its confrontation with the imperceptible aspects of feeling. Like suffering itself, it transforms each day, each emotion, each .sound into a figure
