The narrative begins where words crumble, language fails, and silence replaces dialogue. The "Countdown; 100 Nights + 1 Extra Night" project attempts to discover moments where meaning is born in silence; narratives and poems intertwine and language boundaries are tied to images and text.
One hundred nights was a journey into the heart of darkness. "One hundred" is a number rooted in ancient beliefs, narrating the passage of cold and long nights; nights that could only be endured through storytelling.
For a hundred consecutive nights, I photographed myself holding an object. Then, I invited a hundred artists from around the world to take a photo in response to each image. Each artist chose an object to respond to my object as if the language had fallen silent and the objects were to speak for us.
