Biography
Sara Atar (b. 1984, Kerman, Iran) is an Iranian miniaturist. She blends Persian painting traditions with contemporary, critical perspectives, often using grotesque elements to examine power and societal contradictions.
With over two decades of teaching experience, Atar’s work has been shown internationally in Iran, Turkey, and Sweden, earning awards including the “International Devil Illustration Award” (Istanbul, 2022). She has also served on juries for several art festivals.
