Biography

Biography I’m Razieh A’arabi, born on July 20, 1986, in Tehran. I grew up in a family with artistic and literary roots, with ancestors who were into art, poetry, and playing the ney (a traditional flute). Because of that, I’ve had a passion for art since I was little. I started studying Social Science Research at Azad University in Tehran, which introduced me to the world of social science theories. My love for theater began in childhood. Watching TV plays, I always imagined myself in the roles of my favorite actors and tried to act like them. This passion eventually led me to study Art Research. I kicked off my professional career as an interdisciplinary artist in 2009 and held my first group exhibition in 2010. A year later, I had my first solo exhibition at the Design House, and since then, I’ve continued to hold several group and solo exhibitions. Experimentation is a key feature of my work. From pure design to filmmaking, video art, participating in theater and performance, installation art, environmental art, and sculpture, I always try to explore all aspects of art. My works often carry a social and critical perspective, aiming to invite audiences to reflect more on their understanding of themselves and the world around them. To broaden my knowledge in the field of art, I’ve participated in various workshops and still keep researching and exploring science, art, and culture. For me, this journey is an endless adventure where I’m faced with new challenges and opportunities every day. I hope my works can create a deep connection with the audience and encourage them to think about social and cultural issues.
