Biography

Azadeh Nikoo is an artist born in 1973 in Tehran, Iran. She is a member of the Iran Painters Association. She holds an MFA in Art Studies from the Alzahra University and a BFA in Graphic Design from Shahid Rajaee Teacher Training University. Azadeh has created and exhibited artworks in individual and group exhibitions since 1996. She has also taught theoretical and practical studio art-related topics in educational institutions, technical high schools, and her studio. She finds inspirations in symbols and abstract forms and uses lines extensively in her artworks. She writes poems too, and has recently published a poetry collection book, “On the wings of a Rhino.” The influence of her poetry and her studies-especially in the field of Archeology and Psychology-is significant in her artworks. Azadeh had his most recent painting and Installation individual exhibition, “Alone” in Platform 3 Gallery in July 2020. Her most recent group exhibition, was held by Iran Painters Association in Iranian Artists Forum in October 2020.
