The first event for the “Artist's Emergency Aid” suggested by Fereydoun Ave was held in the spring of 2018 in "V Gallery" in collaboration with "Dastan Gallery" and Foad Sharifi. This event was an exhibition titled “The Contemporary Modern” where more than thirty artists from different generations worked on Bijan Saffari’s prints and the final artwork was signed by both artists and exhibited.

The second event started in 2019, when Fereydoun Ave invited more than thirty artists to exchange their prints with him and they worked on each other’s artworks. From each collaboration, one piece went to each artist as a keepsake, and the others were to be auctioned, the benefits going to the artists’ emergency fund. The auction was postponed to this date due to the unusual circumstances cause by the Covid-19 pandemic.

The second event for this emergency fund for and by artists is held with help and support from Aartmaart (the visual arts platform of Aassttiinn), Pejman Foundation, Foad Sharifi and Fereydoun Ave. Because of this exceptional year, for part one of this event, there will be a live exhibition and online catalogue and bidding. The upcoming exhibition is the first show of the second event, curated by Fereydoun Ave.

Aartmaart, Pejman Foundation, Fereydoun Ave and the collaborating artists gain no financial benefits from the auction and are only holding the event to support artists.
