solo exhibition

07 Jun 2024 - 16 Jun 2024

Statement

"AZADEH"

Art and geology have been intertwined since the beginning of the world.
Many people might not be aware that their true inspiration in art comes from the midst of the earth.
Geology is known for its deep look into the bowels of the earth, the origin of life, resources of energy and water, minerals and rocks, gemstones, mountains, oceans and more.
It is known as one of the most important sciences as all necessary for life and the living come from the depths of the earth.
Art is known for the beauty and emotions we feel through observing the environment and world around us.
Many great artists and geologists around the world have been interested and inspired by the colors of the earth.
I am Azadeh Yaghubpur; artist & geologist.

I call my work = "Azadeh"
I am a self-taught Iranian artist. I came up with this pattern and unique style inspired by a rose my dad taught me when I was ten years old. I chose my own name because it means feeling free; therefore, anyone can interpret, imagine and see anything in my drawings.
My drawings are‌ all originals; none of them are copies. All my drawings are in pen.
Some of my artwork include gemstones, gold, silver, copper, fossils and seashells.
I have had my drawings registered as a brand and logo in Iran.
