Amir Sanjabi was born on May 1975 in Tehran, in Sanjabi's family. His grandfather, Asghar Bakhtiar Sanjabi, was the last chieftain of the large Sanjabi tribe, and his great uncle was Dr. Karim Sanjabi. He was six years old, when his family sought political asylum and migrated to the U.S. Hence, staying behind, he spent his childhood and adolescence with his mother, an artist and a painter, who cherished and encouraged him. Due to the overflowing enthusiasm and love, which he felt for painting, he engaged in it from his childhood.
Years later, along with his mother's support, and the guidance and help of the renowned painter Mr. Idin Aghdashloo, he began to learn how to paint professionally. In order to do so, he continuously attended his classes. throughout the years and under his generous supervision. He began to learn different techniques and skills such as: water-color, oil painting, acrylic and gouache painting, pastel and color-pencil drawing.
He has also studied Art History to extend his knowledge and understanding of art. He started to study Mechanic Material Design at Islamic Azad University, Tehran Central Branch, in 1993. Owing to the instance passion, he felt towards art, painting, interior, furniture design. Thus, he began to work and get more experience consequently, throughout the years. He has established himself as an individual designer and art painter, as well as he has participated in solo and group painting exhibitions.
